Rev. Bobby C. Hedgpath, Sr.
1934 - 2022
Dallas – Reverend Bobby Clinton Hedgpath, Sr., 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 14, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on January 17, 1934, in Gaston County, NC. He was the son of the late William and Onie Vernon Hedgpath. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wonderful wife of 62 years, Betty Lamb Hedgpath; and his brother, Joe Billy Hedgpath.
Bobby was a machinist for many years before becoming a Minister in 1988. He was the Minister of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Belmont for many years. He was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. He enjoyed fishing, working at anything, and spending time with his special bunny, Betty. He was an amazing father and grandfather.
Survived by his loving family, Bobby (Ginny) Hedgpath, Jr., Steve (Tina) Hedgpath; Grandchildren, Brooke Floyd (Jimmy), Leah and Leslie Hedgpath, Amber King (Matt),
Autume Prillaman (Forrest), Jacob and Ethan Green; great-grandchildren, Connor Moss, Tiffani Floyd, Bo Floyd, Hayden, Austin, Kaybree and Oliver King, Tyler Green, and Claire Prillaman.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Doster and Pastor Jerry Devinney officiating.
Pallbearers will be Randy Thomas, Jerry Devinney, Milan Klipa, Norris Lamb, and Scott Miller.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in the Garden of Honor section with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, 104 Downey Lake Road, Dallas, NC 28034.
