Dallas – Jimmy Wade Cooper, 86 passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Jackson County, North Carolina on May 25, 1934 to the late Herman and Cannie Ward Cooper. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Johnny Cooper; sisters, Margie Ward, Janette Messer and Mae Cooper.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of almost 63 years, Lois Morrow Cooper; his daughters, Cynthia Cooper and Wanda (Charles) Neal both of Dallas; grandchildren, Julie and Emily Cooper, Charles Neal Jr., James Neal and Cynthia Neal; great grandchildren, Darla Neal, Abigail Neal, Gabrielle Arthurs, Cloe Cooper, James Neal, Jr, Noah Neal; brother Clyde Cooper of Dallas; Sisters, Ruth Patterson, Bertha Watts and Margaret Jenkins all of Gastonia, Dot Cochran of Cherryville.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at Lowell Church of God with Reverend Joe Heffner and Reverend Roger Wentz officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens with the releasing of the doves
